Families
Parent Involvement
Stay informed about your child’s care through frequent, open communication with our staff. We know building a bridge between parents and staff is a key component to ensure the success of your child.
- Daily Reports: You have a right to know everything about your child’s care and daily condition. Physical, emotional, and mental health as well as your child’s educational progress is what you will get a report on.
- Bulletin Board: Located in the foyer, our bulletin boards will keep you up-to-date with calendar events, articles and other important information
- Black Rock Newsletters: Our monthly newsletters can be viewed through our site, emailed directly to you, or viewed on our bulletin boards.
- Conferences/Evaluations: Conferences are scheduled twice a year to evaluate your child’s work and give you the opportunity to make any suggestions to our program. In the fall, the staff have phone conferences in the evening. In the spring, evaluations are scheduled during nap time.
- Open Houses: Held twice a year, open houses provide great opportunities for parents and children to learn and play together.
- Open Door Policy: Visit us anytime. We welcome all parents to come in and see what their children are doing.
